Would you pick:
or:
Thereâs bigger things to worry about...
So your brain takes a shortcut
By simply following the herd:
âĄď¸ option 2 it is!
And what about people who picked the 1st?
They already died out...
...while hunting this little fellow:

What?
Yes... your ancestors found the stream where this mammoth takes a weekly bath:
"Should we go look for him upstream or downstream?"
Brave Bert decides to go upstream while the rest of the group heads downstream
Guess what?
Brave Bert was right!!
The mammoth was hanging out upstream...
But all on his own...
Bert was no match for the mammoth... đ
And unfortunately he didnât survive...
Neither did anyone else who dared leaving the group
During those early days, surviving on your own was impossible...
The only folks making it through, were those who stuck together
All other DNA became extinct đ§Ź
Thatâs what you and me ended up with...
Today 300000 years later...
Weâre still operating on that same mammoth-chasing brain:
Or point at...
...and people click it!
Now letâs get to the tricky part:
Our favorite JPEGs...
Why tricky?
Because our ego loves playing games
By making us think we ARE our JPEG
And if this sounds ridiculous...
...itâs probably happening right now:
Someone points at your JPEG...
Ouch!
Itâs like theyâre aiming straight at your soul
That said...
What happens when you see this:

The doge[1] is looking AWAY from the message
Actively signalling:
âThis aint goodâ
So Iâm turning my back on it
And so should you!
Now imagine if it looked like this:

Here the doge is telling you:
Yes... I trust this message...
And so should you!
Now before the doge starts barking...
...letâs give her a cookie:

Notice what happened here?
The logo in the top left corner is hardly visible...
(not a coincidence)
...and instead 4 doges are pulling you onto the page
To see why this matters, letâs compare it to:

Here the samurai[2] in the top left corner is looking AWAY from the content
Even when you focus on the middle of the page
Your brain is battling a gentle pull to the left
And what else is pointing to the left?
Your browserâs back button ⏠ď¸
This logo is effectively saying:
âI donât like this site... letâs go backâ
Now you might have an affiliation with some examples...
...so letâs look at a bunch all together:

No matter what anyone says...
...unconsciously youâll more easily trust the messages on the left
But enough pointing at others...
Time to look in the mirror:

While Iâm staring straight at you...
...my duck and blade are pointing in the direction of your browserâs back button
That aint good...
So I had to flip it:

And if this post caused you a massive headache...
...then you could do the same đ
p.s. when sharing this with people who claim they canât be easily manipulated, you could have them watch the classic elevator experiment:

Ex-enterprise solution architect who loved implementing financial systems at banks, retail, govs but got fed up with corporate inefficiencies
After founding a mobile gaming studio I discovered the art of performance marketing and how to easily influence human behavior â¤ď¸
