Why go to court?
Easy...
To get paid
while sitting in the jury
But what to wear?
Doesn’t matter...
...because you can now do it straight from your couch:
Introducing Kleros
The decentralized “court on your couch”

How does it work?
Simple:
➡️ Buy PNK to stake
➡️ Wait for a case
➡️ Vote
BOOM!!
You earn PNK and ETH
Hold on... you earn every single time?
Well that depends on you and your vote:
If you vote WITH the majority...
then you win
If you vote AGAINST the majority...
then you lose
It’s really that easy
and helps prevent abuse
(or lazy thinking)
So how increase your odds of winning?
By only staking in a court you like
e.g. if you ever worked as a freelancer
then you know disputes happen
And if such is brought to Kleros...
you could be the judge
by helping solve the dispute 🫂
and earn along the way
Translation services is another example:
if you can translate...
then you can judge in translation disputes
And if you’re uncertain where to start...
there’s a simple onboarding court to warm you up

The more complex the topics
the more you need to stake
and the more you can earn:
The onboarding court for instance requires a 1200 PNK stake
and earns you 0.02 ETH per case
while the video production court requires 14000 PNK
but in return you earn a whopping 0.1 ETH per case
Keep in mind though...
if you vote AGAINST the majority then you won’t earn anything
and lose part of your staked PNK
That’ll keep you focused 👍
Now let’s take an example closer to home:
How could this benefit Play to Earn games like Pegaxy[1]?
During breeding the player names the baby pega
but some folks can’t resist using vulgar terms
And before you know it...
a picture of Adolf Hitler getting 1st prize is all over twitter
Not a good look...
Now imagine how fast this would get nipped in the bud
if every player could easily report a pega
while earning along the way:
The owner would then decide to either rename the pega or not
If yes, a PGX penalty is paid which the reporter gets as reward 💰
Problem solved... without involving the court
But if the owner won’t rename...
...then he-she deposits a fee to bring the case to court
Thats’s where jurors will rule...
And these jurors are picked from candidates staking PGX in court

So when the case starts, all parties have PGX at stake:
➡️ the reporter
➡️ the owner
➡️ the jurors
And the party who loses the case will lose PGX
which gets distributed to the other parties
Even if a juror happens to know the owner or reporter...
voting against the majority costs them PGX
and if ALL jurors collude...
there’s always an appeal process
you can discover in the Kleros white paper:

That’s right this is about Kleros and PNK...
...so why use PGX as example?
Because some projects might prefer their own token
to help get listed on major exchanges 📈
Now there’s just one last thing I need to tell you...
...and it’s really bad news:
Most Kleros activity is still on Ethereum
so those who could benefit the most...
are actually priced out 😢

Sorry to rug your excitement like this...
but I want to put this on your radar
because it can be a great source of income
for many years to come 🤞
Which is why hopefully Kleros will succeed...
And why I can’t resist making some suggestions to the team:
For most people a court is either dull or dangerous
So how can you make it sexy?
By emphasizing what’s in it for them:
➡️ 743 ETH paid to 3685 voters
Juror = intimidating ❌
Voter = comfy ✅
And by making the onboarding process silky smooth:
detect when a user hasn’t staked yet
and start guiding them through the process 🆘

Before showing a button to buy PNK...
...first explain how much they need
and what it’ll do for them

Also look at this image
You folks are really smart...
But the average human would rather donate a kidney...
...then fight this wall of text 🧐

And that’s if they even got this far...
because “The Justice Protocol” greeting
will make 99% run for the hills 😨
Something like “The Joy of Justice” feels cozier
and if you add “from your couch”
even more people might want to know more

Once Kleros hits scale...
...evidence files can’t become a malware distribution tool
because that would shatter all trust
btw how can they trust emails are working...
...when people don’t receive a confirmation?
Wouldn’t something like EPNS be a better fit?
And when onboarding new integrations
All the emphasis is to “get in touch”
What does this imply?
Kleros is so complicated...
...it’s impossible without your help 🙁

Better show how easy it is first...
and then provide an option to get in touch
because a first impression lasts forever:
